The promise
By day 10 you will have a named folder, a welcome you actually sent, a kickoff that happened, and a first-week plan in their hands. You will not have a portal, a VA, or a workflow that speaks for you. If you only have time for one thing, copy the kit and send a 150-word welcome with one URL. A complete kit sitting in Drafts is still a leak.

The 10-day window
Day 0 is the signature, not the kickoff call. Folder and drafts the same day if you can, next morning if you signed at 9 p.m. Day 3 without a folder is the leak naming you.

Define kicked off in one sentence
If you cannot say it, you will keep moving the start line. Write one sentence you can check. Put it at the top of the kit. The cadence is just dates on that sentence.

The document kit
Thirteen named files: welcome, working agreement, scope confirmation, access list, kickoff agenda and recap, first-week plan, weekly status, change request, two chases, pause note. If it does not have a name, it will be invented in Slack at 10 p.m.

Welcome and the 60-second gate
Under 150 words: folder URL, working agreement, booking link. You still hit send. A tool may draft. It may never auto-send. A welcome sitting in Drafts is still a leak.

Kickoff without a project manager
Forty-five minutes. Agenda in the invite. Recap the same day. The call is not the scope — the one-pager is. You do not need a standup with yourself.

The send / don’t-send table
Anything they can quote back as a promise is a human send. Folder clones and internal tasks may auto-run. Welcomes, invoices, prices, and apologies do not.

Paste chapter 15. Fill the brackets from the signed yes, not from a model. A fictional $3,800 site rewrite so you can see density — not so you can send someone else’s fee.
Who it’s for
- You already close work yourself. There is no VA sitting on the other side of Slack, and you are still the person who hits send.
- The leak is the 3–10 days after they say yes: the folder, the welcome, the access, the kickoff, the first invoice.
- You will copy templates into docs you own and run them on the next signed yes. You will not hire someone to invent a second process.
- You want a kit plus a cadence — not a client portal you have to support, and not twelve canvases that copy a missing kit into a pretty folder.
Who it isn’t
- Anyone hunting a client-portal SaaS, an “AI agency in a box,” or a button that auto-sends the welcome. Client-facing messages are never auto-sent.
- People who have never closed a client and want a sales system. This book starts at signed yes.
- Teams with a delivery manager and a PMO. This is a one-person operator kit.
- Anyone who wants me to onboard their clients. This is a playbook, not an agency engagement. A VA is not the next step.

- What format do I get?
- A PDF playbook. Copy-ready templates: welcome, working agreement, scope confirmation, access list, kickoff agenda, recap, first-week plan, weekly status, change request, two chases, pause note. You do not get twelve importable n8n JSON files — those live in the $29 starter. You do not get me in your account. Plumbing is one optional page.
- Can I check out today?
- Yes. Stripe checkout is live. Pay $29 USD (list $39) on Stripe’s hosted page — your card never touches this site. After you pay, I email the PDF to the checkout address, usually within about an hour. I will not send you to the $29 starter checkout and call it this product.
- Will this auto-send the welcome?
- No. A tool may draft. You still hit send. Anything the client can quote back as a promise — welcome, recap, weekly status, invoice, price, apology — is a human send. Folder creation may auto-run. Connecting a send node “just this once” is how Ada Test lands in a real inbox.
- Do I need n8n for this?
- No. The kit is documents and a calendar rhythm. Optional plumbing is one page, and only after you have sent the kit by hand on two clients. If you already own The Solopreneur Automation Starter, keep the onboarding canvas closed until this kit exists. A canvas that copies a missing kit into a pretty folder is still a missing kit.
- Is this a VA hire plan?
- No. If your onboarding is a pile of Slack messages and a folder named New client (final) 2, a VA will copy the pile. Teach the kit to yourself first. Until then, you are the operator. The send button is yours.
- Refunds?
- If the file is broken, email me within 14 days and I will refund. Change-of-mind after a successful download is not automatic. I still read the mail. The full note is on refunds.
