Freelance floor-rate worksheet (free)

This is the 16-line floor-rate CSV from The Quote You Can Send on Monday. Download it here — no email wall. Take-home, a tax/buffer percent, billable weeks: the sheet gives a floor hourly. The $24 PDF is the how-to. Not tax advice. Not a contract. Written from a one-person shop in Nepal.

I’m Anup Pandey. BuyEbooks.Store is my one-person shop in Nepal. This is the 16-line sheet from The Quote You Can Send on Monday. The $24 PDF is the how-to. The CSV is free. No form, no drip, no “send me the sheet.”

People search for a freelance rate worksheet or a what-to-charge freelance spreadsheet and land on a webinar. I already had this file on the desk. You can have it.

File: quote-floor.csv · 16 lines · not the PDF.

How to use it

  1. Take-home. What you need in the bank after tax, in a year. Not revenue. Not a lifestyle board.
  2. Tax/buffer line. One percent that covers tax plus a buffer for tools, health, bad months, unpaid quoting. Nepal or anywhere: put the number you actually live with.
  3. Billable weeks. Calendar weeks minus vacation, sick, admin-only, unpaid quoting, dead weeks. If you do not know, start at 12 non-billable, not 2.
  4. Floor hourly. Gross needed divided by sellable hours in the year. Round up, never down. Below that you lose money even if the week looks full.

The formulas are in the CSV, in words. Example numbers are round figures, not my bank. Duplicate the sheet when you raise; do not silently edit history.

The PDF is the rest of the week

A floor is not a quote. SoloOps’s The Quote You Can Send on Monday is $24: the sheet explained, a one-page Google Doc, and a cheaper-please script that takes work off the page instead of money off the rate. Stripe checkout; I email the PDF after payment. I still hit send. You will too.

FAQ

Is this tax advice?
No. The tax/buffer line is one percent you type. It is not a filing, not Nepal tax counsel, and not yours either. Ask a person who files where you live.
Is this a contract or a quote I can send?
No. This is the 16-line sheet that produces a floor hourly. A quote is a one-page Doc. That Doc, and the cheaper-please script, live in the $24 PDF. A yes on that page is still not a working agreement.
Which currency do I use?
Whatever you actually invoice. USD, EUR, NPR, GBP — pick one per sheet and convert once. The CSV does not care. Do not mix currencies on one floor.
Do I have to give you my email?
No. v1 is a file. Click the CSV. I do not put a form in front of it. If you want the how-to, that is the $24 book, paid on Stripe.
How is this different from the $24 PDF?
This CSV is the 16-line worksheet from The Quote You Can Send on Monday. The PDF is the how-to: why the floor exists, the one-page quote, and the cheaper-please script that takes work off the page instead of money off the rate.
